- I am standing in an extravagant fur coat outside on the steps of a Catholic Church in spring. I have an overwhelming fear of burning alive if I were to walk inside so I stand outside waiting for it to snow.
- I am a child once more and there is a mirror in front of me. I leave the room to find cake.
- Every notebook I try to write in is already filled. The pen I have writes in the color of dried blood.
- There is the sensation of sand in my hands and my hips ache. I am not afraid, but I have the sense I should be.
- I am standing on the roof of my apartment while it is raining. I can still see birds flying.
- Instead of dirt underneath my fingernails, there are bits of flower petals. I boil them in a pot of water and dump it outside my window.
- I cut my hair in silence. It smells of iron and wet paper. I think I am happy, but am unsure.
- The fireplace burns a purple hue next to the velvet sofa I’m lounging on. A marble statue of a sphinx tries to look down at me. I stare right back.
- The radio is playing a random array of beeps and tones. It suddenly stops when I ask it for a glass of water. The after taste of citrus stays on my tongue.
- I am walking through a forest at dusk. You should be here in this scene, but instead I stumble upon a clear pond with never ending ripples going across its surface. No other living creature stirs as I weep alone. Tears joining the ripples, hand in hand.
